Flood

***Don't worry I will post labor day pictures soon.  I know you'd much rather see those pictures than these, but I'm kind of fascinated by the amount of destruction that can occur from storms.

Here are some pictures we took last night of our trail near our house.  Tropical Storm Hermine dumped huge amounts of rain in Austin and this little creek just couldn't handle it.  These pictures can't even begin to show how much flooding there was.  Down the street from this area there is a little pond and playground picnic shelter, etc.. The whole shelter is under water, all you can see is the roof.  It amazes me how quickly water levels can change.
This bridge was underwater earlier in the day.  It is across the street from the trail.

Here is the corner of the bike trail.  It was also underwater, which is why it is a jumbled mess of trees.

More debris on the trail.

Here is the mighty little creek.

You can see how fast it is moving.

This is a picture of the bend in the bike trail.  It is pretty far back from the creek and it was still underwater.
