Kansas City

From Chicago we flew to KC to visit the Fieleke family.  We enjoyed even more cousin time there and got to meet the three newest members of the Fieleke family...Gage, Isaac and Lydia.  Blake loved the babies and Drew enjoyed playing with Ruth and Adelyn.  We had a wonderful time!

After kyle and I came back from having breakfast with some of my highschool friends we walked in to a sweet surprise baby shower.  My mother in law and sister in laws are super crafty.  Everything turned out so cute.  Above is all 7 cousins.  What a good looking crew!

Adorable cake pops that cousin Kim made.  The kids loved them!

Sweet sweet Lydia (Josh and Maddi's baby girl)

Here is our Cadbury Creme egg cake that Curt and Vicki had made for the shower.  Very clever.

Cousin Kim and I with our baby bumps.  We are so thrilled that they are excpecing their first in December.

The boys and men enjoyed batting practice.

Kyle and his first nephew.  Gage!  (David and Natalie's little boy).

We were so fortunate to get to visit with Granpda and Grandma when we arrived on Sunday.

The big kids loved the pool.  It was a little too chilly for me.

Kyle and his second nephew, Isaac! (Matt and Maureen's little boy)

A fun outing with Lolo, La La and Unlce Matt at Cool Crest

Deanna Rose Farm on Wednesday with some of the family

Drew is our animal lover but unfortunately after the goat grabbed the bottle out of his hands he was a little sad and scared.

Blake of course considered this a race....."must beat Drew"

Blake holding Lydia.  He was so excited to get to hold his little cousin.  She looks scared.

Chicago

I thought I had already posted about our summer trips but obviously my brain has gone to mush.  Sorry.  Here are some pictures from our trip to Chicago.  We all had a blast!

Our first night there we attempted to have Drew and Livi in the same room.  Sweet little things.

Day 1 was a trip to the Field Museum.  The boys were excited to see Sue.

This was our favorite exhibit.  Drew was scared, but the exhibit was if we had been shrunk and were living in the dirt.  It was very cool!

What a great skyline!

No Chicago trip would be complete without a trip to Buckingham Fountain.  The boys wanted to swim in it.

Drew and Cappuccino.  Yes, this is a real cat.

And this is still the real cat allowing the boys to do whatever they pleased with him.

The boys inside the biggest walgreens I've ever seen.  They all bought new sunglasses.

Nay Pier with Livi

Merry Go Round at Navy Pier

A trip to Evanston on Saturday for yummy La Peep breakfast and trips down memory lane.  We showed Blake were he lived for the first 18 months of his life.  The boy's favorite part was seeing the baby ducks.

Northwestern

More pics from beautiful Northwestern in Evanston.

Waiting for the bus.

I'm not sure it gets any cuter than this.  Navy Pier buddy system worked really well until we all went to the restroom and Drew escaped.  It was only a few minutes of panic, but now I know why people use leashes for their children.

The boys enjoying the park near Kirsten and Pat's house.

Blake at the White Sox game.

Cousins playing in the backyard.  Just above their heads is the train track.  It's pretty amazing to watch.  Drew is pictured below watching the trains from the bedroom.  For a little boy who loves trains this was a dream come true.

It was such a special trip to be in the greatest city in the world with some of our favorite people.  Blake and Drew and Livi had so much fun together and it was wonderful for the adults too.
