Chicago

I thought I had already posted about our summer trips but obviously my brain has gone to mush.  Sorry.  Here are some pictures from our trip to Chicago.  We all had a blast!

Our first night there we attempted to have Drew and Livi in the same room.  Sweet little things.

Day 1 was a trip to the Field Museum.  The boys were excited to see Sue.

This was our favorite exhibit.  Drew was scared, but the exhibit was if we had been shrunk and were living in the dirt.  It was very cool!

What a great skyline!

No Chicago trip would be complete without a trip to Buckingham Fountain.  The boys wanted to swim in it.

Drew and Cappuccino.  Yes, this is a real cat.

And this is still the real cat allowing the boys to do whatever they pleased with him.

The boys inside the biggest walgreens I've ever seen.  They all bought new sunglasses.

Nay Pier with Livi

Merry Go Round at Navy Pier

A trip to Evanston on Saturday for yummy La Peep breakfast and trips down memory lane.  We showed Blake were he lived for the first 18 months of his life.  The boy's favorite part was seeing the baby ducks.

Northwestern

More pics from beautiful Northwestern in Evanston.

Waiting for the bus.

I'm not sure it gets any cuter than this.  Navy Pier buddy system worked really well until we all went to the restroom and Drew escaped.  It was only a few minutes of panic, but now I know why people use leashes for their children.

The boys enjoying the park near Kirsten and Pat's house.

Blake at the White Sox game.

Cousins playing in the backyard.  Just above their heads is the train track.  It's pretty amazing to watch.  Drew is pictured below watching the trains from the bedroom.  For a little boy who loves trains this was a dream come true.

It was such a special trip to be in the greatest city in the world with some of our favorite people.  Blake and Drew and Livi had so much fun together and it was wonderful for the adults too.
