Last weekend we had a great trip to Missouri. We started out in St. Louis and gained a new sister in law. Kyle's brother Matt got married and now Maureen has joined the family. The wedding was great and the weather could not have been better. Blake was the ring bearer and did a fantastic job. I found out later that they told him he could have a treat if he smiled as he walked down the aisle. That explains why he sat down and said "Mommy, I'm hungry." His other outburst was when he saw a bee and said, "Mommy, look at that big bee!" Only two interruptions to the wedding is pretty good for a 3 year old. Drew also did his part to break the silence. He had nice timing that day. He decided to throw up sweet potatoes on him and me right as I was being seated for the wedding. Those family pictures should turn out nice :) After the wedding festivities were over we drove to see our niece in Columbia. Kyle's brother David and his wife Natalie had a beautiful little girl named Adelyn. Great timing so that we'd be able to meet her while in Missouri. They had only been home from the hospital a few hours when we all showed up. There were 8 of us including Blake and Drew that showed up to welcome Adelyn to the family. Next we continued west to Kansas City where we stayed for a few days to hang out with Kyle's parents. We took the boys to a fun little park/petting zoo and made it to the pool once, but the weather was not cooperating for us to do more than that outside. It was cold and rainy. We welcomed the 101 degree weather that we returned to (ha, ha). I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.
